about

The second single from our forthcoming second album.

Written by Tully in 1969 when he was 16 years old and never recorded or fully realised until now.

Originally titled ‘Alone’, the track’s introspective themes feel dark initially and express universal fears and anxieties: loneliness, a search for meaning, the passing of time and progression of life. Ultimately though the message is one of hope, as we are urged to find meaning within ourselves, awaken to the beauty of the world and break free of our mental chains.

lyrics

The dawn changing colour
Before my eyes
The sky sees no other only our lies

And there's no love in a foreign land
And rain clouds chase away the light

An empty shell in the universe
Discarded by creation
Left to run, alone
The world spinning round me
To the melody of time
The thoughts that surround me
Will never be mine

The seasons change and your leaves turn brown
Slowly falling from the trees
You count your wins on a playing card
As mountains stand impassive by the sеas

So search and you'll find the key
And thе radiance of light
And find the well inside yourself
With the elixir of life

And break the spell let your soul run free
No longer shackled to the ground
And break the shell and become the tree
Soaring past the dark clouds to the sun
No longer alone

No longer alone
